RAWALPINDI: While exempting model Ayy
an Ali in currency smuggling case for o
ne day, Accountability Court (AC) ordered her to appear on next hearing at every cost.
Rawalpindi AC Judge Muhammad Shiraz Kiani took up the case
against Ayy
an Ali for hearing on Thursday. Ayy
an Ali did not appear before the court after four months.
The judge expressed displeasure over absence of Ayy
an Ali.
During the course of hearing an assistant counsel of Ayy
an Ali took the plea that model is out of country therefore she could not appear in court.
The court ordered the submission of an application for exemption of o
ne day and a written reply on her schedule to return to Pakistan.
While reprimanding over appearance of assistant counsel for model Ayy
an Ali in the court remarked, “The court should be told when the accused would return to Pakistan and what her schedule for engagem
ents outside the country was. She used to say that she would face the case and would appear in the court.”
The court ordered Ay
yan to appear before it on next hearing on June 6 at any cost.
